As part of my New Year’s resolution, I’m committed to resuming my monthly lists of online teaching companies currently hiring. My goal is to help some of you amazing individuals take your first steps into the world of online teaching!
Let’s kick off 2025 with these five companies that are actively looking for teachers as of January.
Polly English
Polly English, a Singapore-based online English teaching company, specializes in providing high-quality, interactive English lessons for students aged 3 to 18 across Asia. Leveraging courseware inspired by Oxford Thinkers and delivered through proprietary online classrooms, we offer one-on-one teaching tailored to individual student needs. Teachers earn $16–$24 per hour and must meet requirements such as native English fluency (USA/Canada), a bachelor’s degree, teaching certifications, and over a year of teaching experience. As an online English teacher with CNK English, you’ll lead engaging one-on-one conversations, correct students, and create a positive learning experience. Classes are 25 or 50 minutes, primarily focusing on conversational English with adult students (70%). This freelance role offers a flexible schedule, no minimum or maximum hours, steady work, and minimal class preparation. Teach from home with weekly payments via PayPal, including full pay for no-shows or late cancellations. Requirements include native-level English fluency with a North American accent, strong communication skills, punctuality, and a quiet workspace with reliable internet.
